Random Fact
Most People are familiar with Charles Darwin’s Theory of evolution, but many people don’t know that it took him 20 years to publish it. Darwin traveled for 5 years around the world on the HMS Beagle until 1836. During his travels, he collected specimens and information to support his theory on natural selection and evolution. Fearing rejection from what at the time was considered a radical idea, he did not present his theory until 1858 with the help of fellow naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace who had a similar theory to Darwin’s. A year later Darwin published his famous book “The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection”.
